Come play the “what’s working game” with me today

Have you ever noticed how our brains tend to focus on what’s wrong rather than what’s working? It’s a natural survival instinct, we’re wired to look for dangers and threats in our environment, which often leads us to overlook the positives in our lives. But what if we could break that pattern and start focusing on the wins, the successes, and the little victories that make up our day?

That’s where the What’s Working Game comes in. I want to challenge you to shift your perspective and start acknowledging every place you’re succeeding, every action that’s producing positive results. It might seem counterintuitive at first, especially if you’re used to constantly looking for what’s wrong in order to fix it. But trust me, taking the time to notice and celebrate the things that are going right can have a profound impact on your mindset and behavior.

Throughout the day, I encourage you to jot down the little wins you experience, a successful client engagement, a balanced checkbook (if you still use one), or even just making a perfect cappuccino at home. And don’t forget to celebrate the wins in your relationships too, like having a conversation with your children that ends with smiles all around.

At the end of the day, take a moment to reflect on your experience. Compare it to a typical day when you were focused on what was wrong, and see how it feels different. I’d love to hear about your discoveries, so be sure to shoot me an email and let me know how the What’s Working Game goes for you.
