Amanda Weisenthal has been working in and out of entertainment world since graduating from NYU Tisch’s film School in 1992. She has worked as both a scout, assistant and manager in locations, and has worked on feature films and episodic TV with companies such as HBO, Showtime, Netflix, and Paramount Pictures. She took a break from locations for several years and worked in different fields to include: becoming an EMT, Personal trainer and a professor adjunct for two universities. In 2018 she went back to the world of locations as a scout for several major TV shows but decided to risk it all and was hired by Atlantic Pictures to start the only location management company in NYC. Amanda is the managing partner at Backlot which has a team of over 15 people, is in Atlanta, Boston, NYC, NJ and Chicago and will be expanded globally in 2024.
