What if “too much” is just an excuse?
Have you ever looked at something you wanted and thought, That’s too much. It’s impossible? I’ve been there. But what if the only thing standing in your way was your belief that it can’t be done?
A few years ago, my father and I were flipping houses. We had a budget for our next property, and he found the perfect house, but it was $1 million over budget. He called me and said, “I found it, but forget it. It’s too much.”
I could have agreed. I could have said, “You’re right, it’s too much.” Instead, I said: “Give me three days.”
In those three days, I worked backward from my vision, not my limitations. I asked: What actions would I need to take to create $1 million in three days?
✅ I made a list of people to call.
✅ I researched new financing options.
✅ I called my banker and asked about construction loans.
By the third call, we had secured a $1 million line of credit. That house? We flipped it for a profit during COVID, against all odds.
The Lesson? Most “impossible” things aren’t actually impossible. They’re just things we’ve never figured out how to do yet.
✅ What’s something you’ve been telling yourself is “too much” or “impossible”?
✅ Instead of dismissing it, ask: What actions would I need to take to make it happen?
The only difference between possible and impossible is your willingness to take action.
Hit reply and tell me: What’s your “impossible” goal, and what’s one step you can take toward it today?
